In need of some help regarding MARK IV head

Hey all,
New to the forum and would like to say hello.

If you could help me out with some info/advice i would greatly appreciate it.

Im about to buy my first mesa, MarkIV to be exact and my question is, I currently have a 4x12 cabinet rated at 16ohm parallel and was wondering if the markIV head is compatable with it?

Im sweating a little, praying its going to be all ok.

Thanks, will give it a go with the 8ohm setting and then get it rewired.
