Ive recently started using the slave out on the back of my mark v.Was never really sure what it did to be honest.Turns out you can record direct out from it.Obviously sounds awful until you put a speaker sim onto it.I used guitar rig which has a recto 4x12 cab emulation.When i compared the miked up cab to it,while the real thing wont be beaten it was close enough to get an idea of what a recto cab with v30's sounds like.Im in the market for another cab to go with my recto but with no music stores nearby i cant try before i buy.The salve out got me thinking that if i could find some impulse responses of some cab and speaker combinations i could get a decent idea of what they sound like.Im considering an open back wide body with a C90.Does anybody know where i could find some impulse responses,preferably for free?
