IIC Effects Loop is very ordinary

Whenever I put a Delay Boss DD3 pedal in the loop it sounds messy and dies out really thin without the sound of the Lead channel preamp affecting it. Whatever I do it just doesn't blend nicely with the amp at all. How do people go with this with their amps and this pedal?

The IIC and IIC+ have different circuitry in their loops. I have never had an issue whatsoever with the C+ loop. I find it very transparent and have not had any issues running effects units.
You may want to consider the + upgrade. If your's is already a +, it may be the effects unit.

Make sure the jacks are clean. They often get dirty or corroded. You might want to see, if you like it better between the guitar and amp.

It's a IIC, but since I'm in Australia it would worry me going back to the US then back here, but it's a good solution all the same. I'd have to get some advice on the best and most reliable courier...

I've tried the pedal in front of the amp, it sounds crap there too. Thanks for the tip on giving them contacts a clean too, I'll give that a go.
