how do you control the reverb level?
doesn't the R2 mod volume knob replace the reveb pot?
does this mod kill the reverb or is it just set at one level?
I don't get it?

You don't have to replace the reverb pot with the R2 pot. Not sure where you got that idea, unless it's from people who decide they're not going to use the reverb and choose to disable it to do the R2 mod. My Mark III has no reverb so I plan on using the hole where that pot would have gone.

The thing is, if your Mark III has reverb and you want to keep it and do the R2 mod as well, there's no place to put the new pot without drilling a new hole.

I used the hole for the direct level out pot. You can't use the same pot, though.

Thanks for the response guys!
I have been negotiating with a guy that has a red stripe with the R2 mod done to it and I just found out that it doesn't have reverb any so no problem.
We came to agreement and I have paypaled him the cash , so hopefully I finally have (and I mean fugging finally) I have acquired a Mark series amp. :D
