Any one ever mod a Triaxis to have an IEC connector instead of the permanent cord? Is it possible?

I love my new (to me :D ) Triaxis--but I'd love it even more if I could do this mod...

There no technical reason you couldn't do it, but there are a couple of practical reasons. First, there is not really enough room on the rear of the Triaxis for an IEC socket (you would have to mount it somewhere on the side or top - not ideal at all). Second, it would probably void your warranty if you did this mod. I would at least be waiting until after the warranty period and only if I could mount the socket in an acceptable place - which I don't think you'll find on the TRI.

Got it, thanks for your reply! Bummer though :(

You could try this:

I shortened the cables and connected IEC plugs to both the Triaxis and 2:90.
This way, with a power conditioner racked above them, they plug directly and permanently into it (assuming your conditioner has IEC sockets, of course).
