and i was thinking of using the lonestar wide 1x12 dimensions, chucking in a greenback 75w copy (i wont be using 90w for this cab)

i dont think ill be using it for high gain too much, just clean and bluesy tones for my bedroom as my 4x12 is a bit of overkill and my parents and neighbours are getting pissed.

think this will suit?

Building a 1x12 i would go for the thiele parameters and use an evm 12L or an eminence delta pro 12a. They are both powerful enough to handle anything the mark v can throw at them.

It isn't the 4x12 that's getting you in trouble. The master volume works with those cabinets, too. ;)

Just remember that the Greenback will sound much different than a C90 or a V30. I would definitely NOT use a GB or GB clone by itself for any distortion. But for clean and just on the edge of break-up, it should do fine.

I tried a BUNCH of speakers with my Mark V when I got it (V30, GB, Anniversary, EVM 12L), and the best sounding speaker was the Eminence Delta Lite II Neo. It does the clean, crunch, and high gain equally well.

haha i hear you. the sweet spot is just a little to far up though! i can have reasonable volume but the 4x12 is overkill

yeah i plan on using it just for clean and slight break up.
