Hey guys...

Well I believe the topic says it all.

How can I best possible hook up the Triaxis to my Mark III and use that as a power amp???

so then I would only get the power section and the master volume from the Mark III and nothing else??

Of course, what else do you want? The Triaxis has all the basic sounds in it and a lot of tone control. The power amp is there to make it louder and add a bit more tube charm. If you run a Triaxis into the preamp of a normal amp you need to be careful because the Triaxis has a very high output and can fry the input of the amp. Not worth doing IMO.

+1.

Just into the FX loop Return. That's all you can do, and that's the right thing to do... use the Mark III's power amp section to power the Triaxis. You wouldn't run one preamp through another preamp.

Obviously, this isn't the ideal hookup for your Triaxis. Get a dedicated power amp for it. Boogie makes many to choose from.

Thank you for your replys...

I know I need a "real" power amp as the 2:ninety, but the money is short atm, so this is the solution I'm looking at atm....

Any other comments or ideas is welcome.

Dude, there aren't any more ideas. You either buy a power amp or you put it into the effects return of a normal amp. Period.

I have to say I have that exact set up. I was doing it into the return but I found it actually worked better in the front of the amp. Just dial back the volume and you will almost have to set the graphic flat. I use mine with the deep enguaged and the bass control pulled out. I dialed down the presence on the back too and it actually sounds better than the return loop. Mess around with the tone controls and see what sounds good to you. I know the convention is to use the return but honestly, I found this just sounded better.

Try them both and see what you like the best, I have my triaxis output set to between 3-4.....
