How loud is the 50/50 or 2:50?

compared to the 2:90? I used to run a 2:90/Studio Pre setup and loved the tone. I only used one side of the 2:90 and it was LOUD, which I'm not complaining about. I'm just wondering if a 2:50 will remain tight and focused at very loud volumes.

I owned both the 50/50 and the 2:Fifty. Both were extremely loud, with more volume than I could ever handle through a 412 cabinet. They do remain tight and focused.

Note that the older 50/50 had a half-power switch, but the current 2:Fifty does not have that feature.

So it was loud enough in a two guitar player band situation? I'd only be using it in mono.

Most definitely. And if you bridged both channels, you'd have 100W. That's plenty!

OH! I didn't realize you could bridge Boogie power amps. I was told you could not with the 2:90...

There are numerous ways you can send a mono signal to both sides of the power amp. You'll need a speaker cabinet that accepts two inputs, though, or two cabinets. I'm not sure if you can bridge the power output off those amps directly. I would download the manuals off the Boogie website to see.
