Hi, I have a Dual Rectifier, but it really doesn't cut it for leads. I wanted to know how the Roadster is. If I could have some input, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :D

if the dual is hitting every mark bar that, try an eq pedal for leads i reckon, that 100 or so bucks could save you having to buy a new head (although you could use it as an excuse)

I've never played a Mesa Roadster,

But in my personal opinion, from the videos I've seen I think the Roadster has very good leads, Not quite as "aggressive" as a Triple Recto or a Road King.

The clean leads somewhat remind me of a Stiletto,

I'd say get a Roadster for your leads and keep your Dual Recto for rhythm.

But that's just my personal opinion. :)

Edit-

*Read post above mine*

That's a good idea, If you are having trouble with your Dual Recto and leads, Try some different "EQ" or "Boost" Pedals.

I'd suggest trying out the SFX-01 Pickupbooster by Seymour Duncan?

The sound is very tinny and ice pickey, and from what I've heard, I like the Roadster rhythm tone more as well, so I think I may be selling my Dual in the future haha. Not to mention better cleans, better mid gain range, more options...........

+1. Also, IMHO you can not go wrong with a good ol' TS-9. I've really grown to like my Danelectro CCTO as well, best $40 I've spent lately.

Try using a boost in the Orange Channel - Vintage - Bold - Diode.

Channel Master at 12:00
Output 10:30-11:00 (LOUD)
Gain 1:00-1:30
Treble 12:30-1:00
Mids 10:00-12:00
Bass 10:00-11:00
Presence 9:00 or lower.

Tweak from there :D That's about where my Roadster is with the CCTO & Les Paul with Bill Lawrence L-500XL & 500R.

A good quality delay in the loop can help 'fill out' single notes as well.
