HI

Need some help with the folks that blend triaxis with amp head ..

Im trying to set up all my stuff together .... I have a littel trouble obtaining what i want ..

I have :
triaxis
triple recto
jc-120H
2;90
mesa high gain amp switcher
GCX GCP an Audio switcher

What im trying to acheive here is to blend triaxis and recto together ..

Is anybody has that kind of set-up ?

The way i tried it last night didn't work ...

Pluged the heads and triaxis in the switcher,
then switcher in GCX audio

The return output of the high gain amp switcher into the 2:90 ...

When i was ``mixing`` recto and triaxis ... really loud noise ...

If someone could help that woulb be awesome !

Tx

I'm guessing you're going for the Hetfield rig.

What's your signal path from input to speakers?

What exactly does your amp switcher control?

What exactly does your GCX control?

Yep that's the rig im looking for .. !!

First the gear

Mesa triple rectifier 3 ch
Triaxis V 2.0
Roland JC120H ( 1983)
2:90
Mesa high gain amp switcher
Gcx Audio switching system
GCX ground control pro
Shure dual wireless
Korg DTR tuner
FURMAN power pro
G major V 1
Behringer XR 4400 gate
MXR phase 100
MXR 10 band EQ
MXR stereo Chorus

2 4X12 Mesa V30

Tylenol for my head ....

My basic idea was to run :

Be able to run triple recto with triaxis ( crunch) and triaxis with 120 ( clean)

Therefore my guess was to run all the preamps slaved trought the mesa high gain amp switcher , controled by 3 loop in the gcx audio switch into the 2;90 ( if that makes any senses )
Is the mesa high gain too much with the gcx ??

maybe use my g major looped in with the recto, havent decided if wanted it in the gcx loop or the amp fx loop yet .

In the gcx loop
MXR stereo chorus
MXR 10 band EQ
MXR phase 100
**maybe g major there

Im just started to build my rig ..

I ve beenn gathering the missing pieces for the last couples of months and moved into my new house .. so now i can concentrate on building the rack instead of the house ..

Yesterday i ve been trying to just set up the mixing pre amp combinasion and it didn't work well .....

I figure it's a long road ahead ....

Wanted to see if anyone not in the NASA departement had done it !!

Right on. Ok.

#1. So first the "really loud noise" part. If you're going for a recto tone then swap out that Recto head with the a recto pre. That will have you space and still help you retain your sound. Do you have a load on your recto head? If so, what?

#2. Turn down your Triaxis and Slave levels. So you're not overloading the poweramp.

I still don't know where your signal starts or ends. So, what's your signal path? Does it start with the GCX or does it start with the High Gain amp switcher?

The GCX in my rig controls my signal path.

I want the signal to start with the gcx ..

I'll have time tonight to start working on it a bit more !
