I have built (4) different pre amp pedals based on actual tune amp pre amps and all work great. I now want to build a Mesa Mark V, and I have almost everything planned out but I have a question on the pre amp schematic. Per the attached photo I circled the part I have a question about. So do I need all the parts circled? To me it seems some of these parts might be there for the reverb and really not needed or if removed will not effect the desired tone. Please let me know what you think

Thanks for your reply!!

Do you happen to have the latest schematic, or a link to it?

I am going to run this into the effects loop return on my Marshall DSL40. The Marshall has a presence control. I know it will not be exact, but hopefully close enough, without having to spend to much money.

So far I have built a 5150, Landry, Solando Hot rod 50, and Orange Rockerverb. And they all sound good.

Are your stompboxes 12ax7 or jfet, or other?

I'd like to see your builds, or the schematics. Any links?

R47 150K sets the maximum possible reverb.

I'm going to say that r46, r49, and r48 are showing at least one error in the schematic. Their total parallel R to ground would be about 3k, that's super low R to ground feeding the 12ax7. Maybe it's correct, maybe. . . .

And r210 being a 3.3K resistor that is switched in and out of the circuit? I'm gonna say that's another schematic error.
