Hey guys!

Glad I just got a Mark IV back, so I can venture back into this side of the Boogie Board :p

I'm running the Mark in stereo with my Roadster...it's to its own Mills 4x12. The Roadster does all effects duties when the need comes, and the Mark IV is running dry at all times. The setup sounds AWESOME, but I feel like I still don't have it dialed in 100%, especially on the Mark IV side.

So, clean is taken care of.

For my main hard rock/metal rhythm sound, the Roadster is running fairly scooped and high gain. On the Mark IV side, I was thinking to run more of a mid oriented tone with less gain, to fill in the hole a bit if you will.

Lead wise, the Roadster is on Channel 3 vintage with a MXR Carbon copy. I need the Mark IV to take over the lead sound I remember getting from this bad boy.

I was thinking about using LEAD for my Mark IV Leads, and then drop the GEQ over LEAD to my Rhythm sounds.

Let me know what you think the best way to set this up would be. I've tried a lot, but I'm curious if anyone can think of something I haven't.

ALSO, I need good suggestions for the settings....how do I dial in that awesome Mark IV lead like I remember?

Thanks!

Eric

If you have the EQ engaged then do not pull the shift knob! It will sound too muddy, too scooped.

Otherwise experiment.

If you want tons of gain, throw a tubescreamer in front! :D

The tonal range on channel three is amazing....

that would depend how you set your EQ of course.

mids are on 7 and 8 respectively? I have yet to try that since my ears are hearing a lot of mids already while on 3 or 4, on all channels.
