I play with another guitarist that has a TriAmp Mk II and although it compliments my Triple Recto, they still sound a little different. Both have a unique voice to them. It is an awesome amp, extremely versatile, and the EL-34's sound great. He's getting a full Orange stack soon, and i'm sure it'll sound a lot better than the Krank Revolution cab he's playing it through right now. The speakers could aid in the different amp voice, but to me the gain structure itself sounds a little different. I've yet to find anything that nails a Recto tone....other than a Recto

So is he adding a full Orange stack to the H&K or adding the orange head as well?

If I ever bought something outside the Mesa Family, at this point, it would be the Tri-amp or an Orange Rckerverb 100. I really haven't found anything else I liked. Still looking forward to an Bogner Uberschall, Engl Powerbal, SLo 100 and a Diezel VH4.

He's just adding the Orange 4x12's and selling the Krank Kab. I really like that TriAmp, and he got it for a great deal at a local music shop. I would love to try a VH-4 as well, but I'm kind of afraid that once I try it, I won't sleep until I have one......lol.
