I got to work on this beautiful amp the other day. It belongs to a well known guitarist. Drooling allowed

I have to say, that I still prefer the Ace to this Cornford MK50 II

BTW, I put some Winged c EL34's in it. It sounded sweet!

Guess the amp? you said compared to a Cornford model and it say Conford so I guess Cornford.

I'm guessing Satriani but Satriani resides in the Bay Area.

OK uranus, so what amp, and who does it belong to, you thew it out.

Cornford MK50 II

This is the one that has the Clean channel and the Dirt and Dirtier Lead channels. Two seperate loops , two Master volumes (like the Mesa Volume and Boost) and a footswitch that rivals the RoadKing's footswitch. It belongs to Greg Howe, who is a most gracious kick-*** guitarist. This one has a mod so that you can switch between EL34's or 5881/6L6GC tubes. Currently it has a pair of =C= EL34's. It had the groove tube 6CA7 replica's in it but they were a little too creamy for his taste.

I thought Greg Howe used Twin Reverbs most of the time. Anyway nice amp, wish I could have one of everything.

He used to use Dual Showman's a long time ago. He may end up with VHT's though. Who knows? He gets so many amps offered.....wish I had that problem....I'm still hoping to get him to try my Stilletto Ace head.
