Ok guys, I'm new here, and have an oportunity to join the mesa ranks.

I was offered a trade of a Mesa Tremoverb head and Mesa 4x12 cabinet (in supposedly good cosmetic and working condition) in exchange for a mint Charvel San Dimas Pro Mod in ferrari red with case, a mint Blackstar HT Club 40 with fresh tubes, and a Boss GT-100.

Does this trade sound fair on both sides?

Would I be losing a lot with regards to getting great sounds at a resonable volume? Also, I guess I'm worried about the age of the tremoverb with respect to reliability etc. Should I be? My biggest fear would be to trade all my newer reliable stuff for this half stack and then have reliability issues or have an expensive repair bill.

There is currently a Tremoverb up for sale in the classifieds for $950 and I saw a 4 x 12 there for $450. The used market being what it is, I think a fair dollar value to place on that halfstack is what, $1500 or so?

Mesas are notoriously reliable but that does not mean you won't have any problems. The Tremoverb could probably stand to be examined by a tech.

Oh, I should mention. Unless you absolutely NEED insane volumes, a halfstack is generally very loud. Just so you know, you'll be trading up to gigging gear, not equipment designed for apartment or family use.

To determine fair value, check around and see what your rig is worth used i.e. what you can actually sell it for.

If you play more small gigs and bedroom stuff, you might find you really enjoy a Mini Recto. They can manage quite a number of great tones and they're infinitely portable.

+1
A mini recto is more than enuff to play small gigs (or bigger ones with them mic'd) or for bedroom levels. An halfstack, to sound properly, is way to much to keep it at home!
