Hi,

I have a Standard and a 5:25 - and I'm curious to see what kinds of settings others have found. The ones in the Mesa manual are just great, and I'm experimenting, of course... but still, if any of you out there have found something that really works for you, please post the settings! I basically try playing everything from smooth jazz to a bit of metal, so anything at all could be helpful.

By the way - the reason I got my first Mesa was probably my first Dream Theater concert DVD way back when. I really loved the smooth, pushy, very present sound in some of the solos... a lot like Petrucci now gets out of the Mark V in some YouTube video I've watched. I got a Mark II back then and was very satisfied with it.

Also, if there's a thread you know of that deals with these things please let me know!

Welcome Henri - there's lots of threads on Express settings - just do a search.
Basic rule of thumb is always keep the bass dial under 11 oclock and experiment with the rest

I'm pretty impressed with the entire tone stack set at noon, Minor tweaks from there....
