if your looking for good crunch that thumps but is never muddy i would recomend keeping your gain between 12-1 oclock..... keeping your master at 12 and using your output as your volume..... this keeps the preamp tight and allows you to saturate the speakers ...... the only down side to this method is you have to turn up a little to get into the sweet spot...... as for the eqs i keep my bass at 12-1, mid at 10, treble at about 1, and use the presence to find what the right crunch without it sounding tinny..... hope that helps.... BTW i'm far from a pro but i do think i know my way around a recto

The lower the presence the easier to get a good rhythm and lead tone in one because of the compression, but it's a 4 channel amp why do you need a lead and rhythm from one channel? 8) :D
I want a road king now, don't know why, I have all of my tones, too many good amps in the world.
