When I changed the speakers of my Marshall 1960A, I bought 4 V30s, put them in the 1960 (making it a 1960AV  ), and put two of the G12T-75 is this cheapo MC212 cab I had. The stock speakers were crap and the T-75s were an improvement, but when I got my Mesa I quickly realized the T-75s weren't nearly as good a match as the V30s.
I asked a friend who tried just about any speaker combination out there, and I asked him about swapping one or both of the T-75s for V30s. He recommended one, saying the V30 would be the the speaker I'd hear most due to the voicing and efficiency, and the G12-T75s will fill out the lows and highs - in other words, works great.
Any thoughts?
