FX switch doesn't work on new Mark V

When I click on the effects button on the pedal board it isn't working. I have the knob on the back of the amp turned to FX SW on the loop assign knob. The effects only work when I have the knob turned to the "all on" option. The pedal board cable that I received (I bought the amp new from an authorized dealer) has 5 pins. I read on the board that the pedal for the V should have 7 pins. Anyone else having this problem? Do I need a different cable (7 pin)?

P.S. I'm a new Mark V owner and a "bedroom" amatuer. I've posted a couple of questions and have gotten a lot of useful replies. Thanks to the "pro Mark V" users who have helped a rookie!

hey do you have the Loop Active switch engaged?

Sounds like you have the wong cable. You need an 8 pin cable I think it is. 1 Pin per-function. I beleive the last pin controls the effects loop on/off.

ya, you need an 8-pin cable. you should also make sure that the loop is active, though.
