Hey, I've got a Boss DD5 in the FX loop and I get this horrible 'droaning cycle' sound. It stops as soon as I turn off the DD5. I can also stop it if the volume is lower on the pedal or mix level. The problem is its too low.

I tried putting in front of the gain but it turns my tone to trash. I'm not a gear genius so any help would would be great!

thanks

Is the DD5 plugged into a power supply like a BOSS PS-A? If so, make sure it's on the same circuit as your amp -- i.e. both devices plugge into the same power strip or line conditioner.

Or... if that IS the case, try running the DD5 from a battery and not the AC adapter and see if the problem goes away.

I suspect your issue is electrical.

Hmm, I've had a problem with my pedals in the loop of my single rec. If controls are put too high, etc, they make an odd noise, just like a loud repeating "DU-DU-DU-DU-DU". It's annoying. I've only got an MXR EQ and TC Electronic Vintage Delay.
