I have an original Mesa Boogie with a date stamp of January '77. According to the guys at Mesa it was built in December, '76. It is in excellent condition, very very clean for even a new amp let alone a 34 year old amp. This is the ultimate collectible Boogie, fully loaded with EQ, 100/60 power option, export tranny, vintage EVM-12L, and beautiful Koa cab. It doesn't get any better. Chris at Mesa played the amp the last time it was serviced and told me never to sell it and that it was one of the best original 100/60 watt Boogies that he's ever played. Maybe he says that to all of their customers. If you like Santana's tone on Abraxas you'll love this amp. It's all original except for two caps that had to be replaced in '09. It's really been babied and kept in a controlled environment.
The amp is very heavy and will probably cost $150 to ship from 95472. I'd also go for a local pick up in the North San Francisco Bay Area. (about 60 miles north of S.F., near Mesa Engineering). I can meet someone in San Rafael for the exchange if that will help.
