I've always felt the MK1 setting was the sleeper metal setting on the V and tonight I had the bright idea of using a graphic EQ (MXR 10 band) in the front to just clear a little low end going in to tighten it up and bingo I got the best approximation of MOP I think I have out of the amp. Big caveat of speaker choices, pickups etc. I'm using a 2005 V with an old Dimarzio super distortion in it. I also had it on Variac which to me sweetened the top end without losing punch. Diode choice on the rec. Here are some pics of my settings. Sorry no clip, as of yet, as it's late and my phone wouldn't capture it worth a damn anyway.

I love the Mk 1 voicing, probably my go-to channel for most of our stuff. I play in a stoner rock band and Mk 1 just oozes that thick, low-mid heavy tone. Throw it on the neck pup and that thick, fuzzy Kyuss sound roars forth.

Hearing that dudes can go from Metallica to Kyuss with this amp is enough for me. Couldn't be happier with it.
