Welcome to the forum.

Be sure to download the manual, the Solo, as well as other functions are explained in detail.

Make sure the amp is NOT in HARD BYPASS. Does the OUTPUT knob work?

Dom

output knob does not have any control on volume. volumes are controled by just the master in each channel right now. the out put knob is set at about 10 oclock and the solo is set to about 2 oclock i read up on it in the manaul and it didnt really help so either i have a non working function or its operator error. i am hoping for operator error.

is this a function that can only be used when you are using the effects loop? I have nothing pluged into the effects loop jacks if that helps.

The effects loop needs to be on. I don't use the effects loop but i keep it on footswitch so I can use the solo function and it works fine. Keep the effects level pot on the back of the amp at about 12 oclock.

Ok so let me see if i under stand this correctly? on the back of the amp there is a section for FX loop that has 4 konbs from left to right there is assign, send, mix, channel footswitch. theese konbs should be set as follows: (please correct me if im worng)

KNOB - SETTING

ASSIGN - LOOP ON
SEND - 12'oclock
MIX- 12'oclock
CHANNEL F/S - FT SW

Set it to FTSW

From the manual:

Yup, you have the loop set to "hard bypass".
Switch it to FTSW and you'll have use of the master and solo volumes.

got it figured out the switch stop is broken internally on the switch for the selector knob so teh alignment dot on the knob was misleading. got it figured out thanks to all you input, Thanks.
