Footswitch 'pop'

Hi all, I am a new member to the forum and a new Mesa owner having purchased a used 3 channel dual rectifier. I have noticed that when I switch channels using the foot switch I get a fairly loud 'pop' sound. This only seems to happen the first 1 or 2 times I change channel after turning the amp on, after which it does not seem to 'pop' any more. Should I be worried about this?

Any advice, explanations you could provide would be appreciated.

It's normal.

It's due to a static charge that builds up on the relays. It tends to be at it's worst when you first power up.
