I recently acquired a Mark III, and have hooked it up to a footswitch to change between the rhythm and lead channels, but that feature does not seem to be functional. I have the 'PULL LEAD' knob pushed in, and the footswitch LED will switch on and off, but the amp does not switch channels. Does anyone have any ideas as to what would cause this?

Thanks!

You say you have "a switch" hooked up, but is it the stock switch? If not, you might disassemble it and check the circuit. Otherwise you may need to open the chassis and check the pull pot switch leads for problems. New-to-you amps can sometimes hide a dark past of Frankenstein-like experiments.

As usual, exercise caution opening up a tube amp...

Sorry, forgot to check back in.

I ended up trying another footswitch, and it worked. The one I had been using needed to be rewired.
