Flying with a mark III

Has anyone here ever carried a mark series amp onto a plane? It seems small enough, although it might be a bit heavy. My band is playing in Maryland in may and I don't want to chance the backline, while the V4 is just too big to fly with.

Maybe rack the head (pack tubes inside in bubblewrap) might be easiest. Much lighter than shipping an EV loaded combo and you can risk the backline speakers with less concern.

I flew with mine short head around a month ago with no problems, she fits at the head compartment easily (i really didnt want to put it in the cargo) and the officials didnt care, since it's smaller than a briefcase. imo you should have no problems.

yep, I have brought a mark iii as carryon on a couple of occasions.
