Well I did my first gig with the roadster and a borrowed 4x12 oversized recto cab. Overall I was quite impressed. I spent 90% of my time in channel 2 brit 100% gain, did one song in channel 3 modern mode and used the clean channel in tweed mode (moderate gain) for the lead of roadhouse blues.
This is the perfect amp for me. My sound was big, fat and roaring at times. My brother in law sat in playing his marshall jcm800 (w/master vol) for roadhouse blues and I swear the earth shook beneath us. We had a 3200w PA system, so that may have contributed.
The only issue I noticed was that after my amp warmed up a bit, I got a weird squeal coming from it. Luckily this appeared during our sound check early in the day and I tracked it down to my EFX loop being set to 100% level. When I turned that down, everything was fine after that. Strangely enough, I had no effects in the loop and it wasn't activated.
Another band played too and the guitar player showed up with some pretty shoddy gear, so against my better judgment (probably due to the beers I was drinking), I showed him how to use my rig and he played it for his entire set. He was playing mostly country tunes in the clean channel and it sounded awesome too.
All in all, I am very happy with the purchase of the Roadster, and I can't imagine making any other amp purchases for a long time to come. I get a reasonable marshally sound, a great clean, and two real recto sounds.
