Extension Speaker Cable for Stiletto Ace Combo

I need a 3 ft. extension speaker cable (i.e. female 1/4" on one end and 1/4" male on the other) so I can hook up my Ace combo to my Hot Plate. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can get one at a reasonable price? A Google search only turned up Mulder Audio, which has one for $100 (needless to say, a little bit more than I want to spend...).

As an alternative, would it be safe to use a female-female coupler to connect a speaker cable and the combo speaker and use that as an extension? Neutrik makes one for $4.

FYI, I did e-mail THD and disappointedly got no response. I still can't figure out why some companies offer e-mail as contact option and then never answer...

I've done this. A high quality metal coupler should be fine. Don't use the plastic one from Hosa.

Thanks for the reply. I just got in touch with Mark at Lava Cable and he will make me a cable for $19.95 so I am going that route. Thanks again.
