Express 5:50 channel pop in 5w mode???

When I am using my Express 5:50 in 5 watt mode I seem to get a popping sound when switiching channels and when putting the amp on and taking off standby. Is this normal?

I've found that if you wait a few seconds after switching it to Standby before turning it off, it won't pop when turning it off - I guess it discharges the power cupply capacitors slower by going to Standby for a brief period rather than jsut witching it off. I've never expereinced any popping when switching channels or turning it on.

When you hear the popping sounds when switching channels, are you using the footswitch or the switch on the front panel?

Mine often pops when I switch channels. Most of the time - not all the time. Nothing unusual about that. Many amps do it. You can't hear it in a band mix situation
