Is it just me or did the power transformer on the Electra Dyne seem really gargantuan?

I remember mine looked pretty **** big, too. That thing weiged a ton.
Never did figure out the electradyne... I wanted to try EL-34 tubes but was not impressed with the amp, sold it for what I paid for it and was glad to get rid of it.
Exp 5:50 with Mercury output trafo (super amp)
Exp 5:550+ also very nice but thinking about upgrading the output trafo on this one, too.
Studio .22 with mercury choke, power and output trafos - super amp absolutely gorgeous
Maverick in my studio .22 hardwood cab with an extension cab total of 2 12" tonetubbies, one ceramic one alnico - also an awesome amp
I think mesa has some pretty good trafos but not sure if they are the best possible or not... my upgraded amps with mercury steel are extremely expressiven and touch-sensitive.
