Hi all,

Does anyone knows if there is any problem if I run my RKII without an EL-34 tube?? I don't use any of the configurations using these valves in the channels stripes, so I don't know if it hurts the amp, any thoughts??

HI ,

My only thought would be why you would not just leave the tubes in there anyhow ? I knowleaving your tubes in there won'thurt .
By not having them in there what is your objective ?

/cheers

the one that I swap out is burned... But are u sure it won't blow the fuse if I install it again??

If it was a simple tube failure get a pair of mesa spec'd " cheap "
russian or chinese tubes for the location . Never put back a bad tube .
It will blow the fuse , if not the Diodes .
I did not know that was why you posed the question .
Order a set from http://mesa.stores.yahoo.net/el34sovtek.html
toss them in then check if the new set blows a fuse . I would not leave an amp of this complicity in any disrepair . I am not sure how the lack of
tubes over the LONG run will effect the amp .
/cheers
