I wend down to the local guitar shop looking to try a Blackstar amp and see if I liked any of the tones. It was not bad, but also not better than the Electradine combo I currently own. I spotted an Eganter Renagade and to be honest I'd never heard of it before so I decided to give it a try. WOW I was immediately impressed by what I heard. Very nice Fenderish cleans and some awesome overdrive as well has higher gain tones from this unit.

Then I noticed that they actually incorporated a knob which could blend EL34's and 6L6 tubes so you can get some of one or the other or both mixed together. Very Impressed. Finally the price was very reasonable.

I'm considering one as a backup amp to my Ed. Anyone own one of these and care to review it for us?

Here is a link to a video clip of the amp.

I had the Renegade but it wasn't my cup of tea. Love the constuction and features. Very well thought out 2 channel head, it also has bias points and a xlr for recording....just brilliant and very well thought out. It did how ever fail short IMO in sound when I took it to band practiced.

I just p/u a Renegade 2 weeks ago. Only one gig so far but, this is the amp of my dreams. It's got the Fender bassman, on the one side and a Marshall hot rodded JCM 800 on the other IMHO. The footswitch is killer too, with a second master on it, reverb, efects. I'm running a Line 6 M9 in the loop and it sounds great. I don't need overdrive pedals anymore either. I love it.

I only really like the overdriven tone from channel 2 with the deep setting engaged. But I've heard that the Tourmaster has a even smoother overdrive, so I might just GAS for a Tourmaster now...
