Effets Loop on a Single Rectifier series 2

I put my DD20 on the effects loop but I realize that my signal went too dark when I pass the 30% of the mix on the effect loop pot, how can I solve that problem??, it's the delay or it's the loop, any recomendations??

I did this simple mod to mine, works like a charm with my DD3.
