Hi, I have just bought a 3 channel dual rectifier and wanted to use my Digitech RP1000 just for effects in the effects loop. Im using the 4 cable method with it but I just dont seem to be able to make it sound good. The volume pedal doesnt seem to work at all and the wah sounds terrible and there seems to be no way to change their position in the effects chain with the pedal. Has anyone else tried this setup? Do I just need to change pedals?

Any help would be really appreciated.

hi. first remember that the fx loop on the dr is a parallel loop and not series. which means it acts more like a fx loop on a mixer.
they are a little tricky. i run only one delay pedal. i set my pedal mix knob to 100% and the mix knob on the back of the amp to about 10%.
also these babies like to be turned up. tweek with it a bit with the volume up and you will find your rite spot.
also not too sure if the rp 1000 fx will all work. some of those fx want to be in front of the amp and not in the loop. that is why you have no vol and the wah sounds bad.
try just a delay or chorus, reverb.
take care
