Hi all, been a while since I posted, but I just scored a mark IIc+ basic combo (yes, a real one). Trying a TC nova system but I'm not nuts about it-whats the best effects unit in the loop of the amp? I don't need a 4-cable job, as I just use a wah in front. I have a g major 2 with my triaxis direct to pa rig, but don't know if it works well with a full blown tube amp. I use delays, octave, phaser and harmony (detune if the unit's detune is solid). Please advise-what do you use? Thanks a ton, Ari

I use a TC Nova System in the loop of my IIC+, with good results. You didn't say why you're not happy with yours... if the issue is tone sucking I suggest playing with the Levels (use Advanced mode, not the Unity Gain feature). I found that getting the levels right is key to getting the unit to be very transparent. As for the effects, I think the Nova does a very good job with most of the ones you mentioned, except for maybe the Phaser... surprisingly, a number of folks on the TC forum say the modulation effects, particularly the Chorus, are less than stellar. I use the detune for Chorus with good results. Overall, I've found good sounds, but it took me some tweaking. Good luck!

Thanks freefall! If someone tells me the nova system works wonders I'll keep it, but otherwise I'd rather go with advice that will save me the time and effort of testing and tweaking....

Come on guys! There must be at least a hundred of you out there with IIc+ amps on the forum! Help a brother out-what do you use in the loop? Thanks, ari
