Ok here is my setup, a TC G major in the effect loop of my Mesa Rectoverb 50, the volume of the loop on the head is around 1 o'clock. Last week my 2 EL 34 burned so I had them changed of course at a chop near my place. Yesterday I plugged back my setup and there is a big difference in the volume of the effects that goes in the loop. The effect is now very low volume compare of what I had before!!! For exemple on a preset of the G major I had delay and the mix parameter was at 25%, I have to put it now at around 55-60 % to have the same amount of delay in the sound. Do you think there is a link between the tubes change and the loop?

Thanks for your help.

I hate to say this, but:

I am experiencing the same thing with my Tremoverbs.

I swear I had a better mix before I modded them to series.

After I did the mod I did not notice the need to up the mix. It was later, much later but, I just recently swapped out tubes. But then again, for awhile I used a ThisOnesMine buffer on both FXLoops and maybe they affected the tubes, so maybe it is the FXLoop tubes?

Any suggestions?

Sounds like either the mix or fx output controls may have been moved.

In fact, I didn't change anything! and I have a marker on the amp for the place I put the effect loop volume so I'm 100% sure it's on the same place.
