Here's a video I finished today to give you an idea of what My Thunk Mod sounds like on the Red/Vintage channel in Silicon/Bold mode.

Thanks! I'll see if I have a matched pair of 6L6GC's and give it a shot! Unfortunately the only speakers I have are: 2x12 Oversized with WGS HM75's, the 2x12 in the video and my 4x12 Oversized Proto cab with 2x Celestion G12M-70's, 1x WGS HM75 and 1x WGS Green Beret. I use the 4x12 for prototyping amps and figuring out which speaker sounds good with which amp.

I can just mic the Veteran 30 to see what that speaker sounds like with the 6L6GC's. That would probably give you a good idea what to expect.

I haven't worked on a 3Ch yet, but from what I've seen of the schematic it's probably just as easy to work on. There really isn't much you can do to these amps to improve their tone. I just wanted to shape it a bit more toward my liking.

I'm also going to go through the different Channels and Modes without changing the EQ to see how that changes the tone.

That sounds really good, crazy how you can make the already great tone of the 2 ch recto even better. Thanks for the video!

My pleasure! IMO the way to get the best tone out of them is to introduce the lower frequencies later in the gain stages. That way you're only distorting the higher frequencies and the bass remains smoother. you might have to raise the bass level pot a bit, but it's worth it for the tight, smooth low-end!
