I have a 2001 dual recto with the bigfoot switcher.
If I connect the footswitch to the amp, EVEN ON STANDBY I get a really loud buzz.
The footswitch does not switch, it tries to combine two channels at once and basically weirds out on me and the buzz is unbelievable.
Without the footswitch connected the amp is flawless, but try playing with any dynamics without the footswitch...You are limited to one channel and a guitar volume knob.
I took this to the service department and gave them explicit details. They promptly ignored the footswitch, said the amp was perfect and charged me $90. I can't find anyone around that has a dula recto, so I can plug the footswitch in and try to debug. If you know about these switches, they are a little on the strange side, when you switch the pedal, it resuces/increases voltage, instead of an on/off mode like other switches.
I am stuck. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it. Gigging without the footswitch is a drag, because my band does a lot of different styles.
