Hi,

I hope you are all well.

I'm having an issue with my awesome Dual Rec Solo 3ch!

When activating the FX loop, quite a bit of the high-end is taken away. Its most noticeable on CH2 and CH3, regardless of which mode they're in. I can't notice it much on CH1, but I'm sure the issue affects it none the less.

This even happens when all effects are disconnected from the loop. So its nothing to do with my effects pedals, or cables sucking the tone.

Please may you suggest what I could try to resolve this issue?

Kind regards,

Sat

ps. I recently re-valved using JJ 12AX7/ECC83 (gold pin) for all preamp tubes and JJ 6L6 for power.

hi again,

may someone please suggest what the cause could be?

thanks

It's quite normal really. Mine did it as well. The only way I have found to be able to run the loop withut losing high end was to by chance put in a NOS GE 12AT7 preamp tube in my V4 possition. I had to run the send level higher to compensate for the lower output tube but this tube retains alot of clarity and high end when using the loop. So much more that loop bypass has "tone suck" compared to running the loop on.
