dual rectifier fx loop volume question?

Im just trying to make my fx loop work better in old dual r.. 3 channel parallel loop.

I have set it to footpedal on / off.

Is It normal that back of amp that fx loop send also affect volumes of all channels even when fx loop is turned off from the pedal? Effects go away and Light goes of but the fx loop send volume still changes whole amps volume.
I though it was only for fx send when loop is on.

If I understand correctly, yes, the send level works as long as the loop in not hard bypassed! Even with nothing plugged in the loop!

The way the FX Send is set up, it affects the volume of the entire signal. It's function is to vary the overall send to the power section and FX loop, because different effect units will return at different levels. Turn your effect on in the loop, toggle it on and off while adjusting the Send until the volumes are matched and it's all set.
