hi!
how can i use the behringer fcb1010 to change chanels on my DR?
last time I tried in order to change all 3 chanels the 1/4 plug second relay of the fcb1010 had to be inserted just about half way. the manual says that a stereo 1/4 plug could also be used. so that means both relays have a comond ground. and i understan this can damage the amps switchig sistem. similar to the problem with the g major.
I've read it can be done, but how?
will it damage my amp in the long run?
thanx

I'm pretty sure most amps' switching jacks have a common ground in the amp, so it shouldn't really matter. looking at pics of the the DR suggest (since they don't look like they're isolated/plastic type) that they all share the same ground..

These jacks allow (usually MIDI-programmed) operation of your amplifier’s functions from an external switching source. In either case, the switching is accomplished by connecting (“shorting”) the jack’s “Tip” to its “Ring” (or ground.)
