Dual rec 3ch noise question..

Hi,

Is it normal to hear a loud buzzing when a cable is plugged into the amp (so that the "signal in" is floating). Offcourse The buzz becomes louder when touching the tip, but asking because it's already very loud when not.

I do not do it ..I've just built the amp from scratch..and wanted to find out if this was normal. My marshall amp does not buzz when the signal is floating. Guess it's because of the higher gain in mesa's.
