DT lead - presence of enemies

Just messing around with this little riff that Petrucci plays off their new album with my Mark IV.. sounded cool enough to record the tone. What do you guys think?

Thanks, I realize the riff is pretty basic here but I'm more curious what people think of the actual tone. Still getting my bearings with the Mark IV but I think I've fallen in love with simul-class...

for a pretty dry setup recorded with a camera, the tone was smooth but the notes were punching through nicely.

I am not familiar with the song so I'm not biased as I have nothing for a point of reference. The sustain was nice and each note rang through clear. The articulation was there in the picking. Probably sounded better in person but I liked the tone.

Sounds good even with the camera mic. I'm guilty of using a camcorder too! a DR and MKIV are in my two year rig plan. Recording equipment can come later.
