been reading up on true bypass / cable length / buffers..as of now my setup is

guitar 15ft cable > turbo tuner ST200 > BB preamp > Diamond J Drive > 10ft cable > Mark IV...total cable length of 25ft. approx...all pedals are true bypass..would you be worried about tone loss due to a lack of a buffer? do i need something like the love pedal line driver for a buffer, or is this issue more for people running like 10 true bypass pedals and like 45 ft. of cable.

also i heard cable length in the FX loop doesn't matter?? runnnig an mxr CC into the loop with some 15ft cables..i dont think i notice a difference when i switch the loop in and out..just wondering what other people hear

i guess in the end, i love my tone, maybe more and more every day haha...just swapped out the TU-2 for my ST200, haven't noticed any tone loss since switching to 100% T.B., if anything I think it sounds better without the TU2..placebo effect maybe? ha, thanks.

not many people put much importance on this topic? i suppose a line has to be drawn somewhere, where you stop losing your mind about these kinda things haha

yeah, if you like your tone, dont worry about it man! tone suffers when you have bad cables. And they dont have to be long to suffer. if you've covered that part with good cables, the loss should be negligible. Also, tone suffers when you have weak pups. if you're using hot pups, there's not much to worry.

I'd suggest you to try a T-Rex Compnova at the very beginning of your pedal chain.

It provides a very good compressor/boost effect when on, and a great buffering when off.

It depends on if you can hear the difference with or without one. With tons of pedals most guys I know use T/B loops that help out a lot. Some just use a Boss tuner first in line. As for loop cable length, with all the Boogies I have owned, 20' was about the max I would go before losing high end. I ended up with Mogami Gold that sounded the best for the price. Lava cable sells some pretty trick stuff I would like to try when I win the lottery. In the loop of my Shiva I can only go about 1' before I lose some serious tone, so it does make a difference, just not as much with Boogie. With your rig I wouldn't worry about it very much.
