Anyone else ever run into this? I am just not sure how to justify the difference? I spoke to Marcus just two days ago, and he quoted me $380 for a Roadster head shell that was Tan Crocodile. I just called them a second ago and spoke with Chris about getting possibly just the vinyl (Vanilla Color) and he quoted me $470. On their price sheet, and logically speaking, the Crocodile is priced more (as one would expect it to be). This was without the reverb tank.

This is very confusing. The only reconciliation I can think of off of the top of my head is that the quotes are off due to what each of them hope to make commission wise off of the transaction. This logic would seem to make sense as you can order a Mesa head off of Mesa on the phone, yet for the same price as in store. It seems reasonable to venture that the range of profit would somewhat go to the person taking the order, no?

Anyways, I am trying to remain skeptical, but in practice this doesn't seem just. Their price lists even show that all Vinyl and Tolex options are the cheapest.

Anyways, I don't always get responses to my posts, for whatever reason, but maybe today some of you could take a moment to chime in. Thank you very much! :)
