From the Diezel Website:

"Announcement: As of today, Monday January 25th, 2010, Diezel GmbH has terminated the operations of Diezel USA and the relationship of Mr. Terry Hicks. All inquiries regarding sales, service or any other requests should be directed to Diezel GmbH (Germany). Please notify us if you have any pending transactions with Diezel USA, if your account has recently been charged by Diezel USA, or if you have any other questions regarding how this organizational change may affect you."

I spoke with Terry back in 2008 when I was thinking about getting a VH4. Over the phone, he sounded like a nice guy. What the hell happened and why is his dismissal so public?

Cause he was (allegedly) a huge douche to deal with.

I remember reading about this...apparently, after denying a return, there was a warranty dispute on an amp only after a WEEK of purchase...sounded like a big mess, but Diezel later stepped in and made all right.

 Interesting.

A simple run down of what happened (that I remember) was that.... guy buys brand new Diezel Herbert from Terry(Diezel USA). Guy looses his job or something before the amp is even delivered. Guy tries to ship it back and return it, Terry says all sales are final go pound sand. I guess this combined with some other warranty issues and what not was the last straw for Peter and the rest of the Diezel crew and told Terry to take a hike.

I thought it was a good move, when you pay that much for an amp you should get good service during the purchase, and many years to come. The boys back there in Germany do stand greatly behind their product and give the best post purchase service I've ever seen from a company.

He is a crook, and Peter Diezel realized it.

rjf: guy bought the amp from Diezel USA. Never opens the box. Loses his job, inquires if he can sell Brand New Factory Sealed amp to someone and have the warranty transfer. D USA says eat a dick.

Also $40 hats and $50 t shirts.
