I posted long ago how my amp died while we were in Gaeta, Italy. Since returning to the States, I had my amp serviced at the Hollywood location and they really treated me like a king.
The culprit was a bad power tube... and after I had popped in another fuse to inspect the tubes, the thing melted the fuse holder! Do not do this when you blow a fuse..just pop in some known good tubes and refuse/power up.
At any rate, they charged me like $45 to replace the fuse holder and conduct a full bench test on the amp. On top of this, they cleaned and lubed all of the controls/sliders/sockets on the amp! These guys rock and the amp is now smoking in a good way, haha.
In two months we leave for Greenland..then Japan, Guam, and Hawaii!!
