Hi all - First off, as the title says, I have a DBX 166XL compressor/limiter/gate that I use prior to input on my Mark IV. Since it's a 2 channel unit, I'm wondering if I could run the MIV loop out into the second channel input of the dbx and then its output to the MIV loop return? I think the answer is yes, but thought I'd check here in case anyone's done this or something similar. I don't know what it might sound like (could be awful) and I sure don't want to try anything that could compromise my amp. Any insights??

Oh, and here's a link to the dbx unit specs -
