Hey, is there anyway you can make a click track on cubase that's not just a steady fixed time signature, but a movable one.. example.. 3/4 3/4 3/4 7/8 3/4 ..??? because I am getting a computer just for recording and I need to know if it does this!

maybe my post could help you .
I use protools.I use a midi track to control a sequencer .That's my metronome.
Everytime I changed beat, midi thack follows those changes.
A click track is always a midi track. In your sequencer you choose what sound your click will be.

ok , so i should just use a program like guitar pro or powertabs to create the click track? and then input it as the click track, is there anyway of making it on the program itself?

wait a minute....
Just open a midi track in cubase.
There you program where the clicks should be.
Midi out from your computer to a sequencer .
Open an audio track and send the sound of your sequencer to that audio track.
Everytime you change your beat measurements automatically the midi track will follow them and so your sequencer.

I think you didn't understood me.
What you want is a click track wich responde to your beat measurements modifications ,is that it ?

The only way, wich is used for all studios is using a midi track as a click track.
You will have a midi metronome wich will follow your beat modifications.
Open a midi track, program trhe beats and your sequencer or keyboard will be the click .You will record any stuff under that midi metronome.
And yo'won't spend 1 audio track because it's a midi track.
