As I sit here eating my pizza pop I'm searching the Boogie Board for some info. But I can't seem to find it. I'm probably not looking around enough and I'm also lazy, so here are my questions

1. How many Units is the Quad?

2. I'm looking for a rackmountable midi/relay changer. I know if youu have a midi preamp and a amp that has relays as the channel changer you could hook it up to this one rack unit. From this unit, It can be hooked up to a midi foot controller allowing me to choose from 8 different relays and the channels from a midi preamp or effects processor. Does anyone know what this unit is called?

3. Anyone have any recommendations for a rack case, I have 2 SKB rack cases, one is 12U and the other is 4U. In the future, I would like to pick up a Quad. So by answering question one I can figure out how many units I need. So far all I'm using, is a Mark III rack mountable which is 4U, G major = 1U, Power conditioner = 1U, 2 x Ada Mp1 = 2U, If I get the quad, I'd use the mk III as a poweramp and use the MK for clean or a lead. I'd like to have a Mp1 in my rack as a backup and because it can get some marshally tones.

so in total I have 8 units ( MKIII 4U, Power Conditioner 1U, G major 1U, Mp1 1U, question number 2 = 1U ) and now all i need to know is how many units is the quad , and does anyone have any suggestions for a case that has casters on it because this rack is heavy as ass so far, and it's not even done. Hopefully with the casters, just moving it across the room will be easier. Other than that, all I will need are some rodies.

Anyways ThaNKS

1. 3U

2. Axess-Electronics CX-4. If you went with the CX4, you would need 2 of them, because 1 only switches 4 relays, but 2 of them would still be reasonably priced. Great quailty units and great customer service. E-mail Mario with any questions.

3. Seems like if you rackmounted the CX4's and got the Quad, everything would fit just perfectly in your 12 space. If you have that thing full with the Mark and the Quad, good luck moving it. You can always just go to like Home Depot and buy a set of casters for $25 and drill them on yourself. That is what I did with my SKB 8 Space Rack

hmm sounds good. thanks your reply, I know for question 2 theres this rack unit, it has 8 relay switches in it, i'm not sure what it's called, i was talking to someone about it a while ago, I'm going to go look for it thought,so i guess 12U would be good, and then I can just have one space between the mark and the quad. :) anyways thanks!

I think this is it:

I use the axxes CFX4, like ashjn mentioned. Really great products from mario! Just a thought, 2 CFX4's would use less real estate than the R8, depending how and where you mounted them.

good luck!

:D
